ABOUT ME
Business and coaching experience
I have a successful track record as a businessman, having worked in a senior role at Formica before establishing, growing, and selling the strategy consultancy, Wood Holmes. My journey in the business world has been shaped by a series of impactful contributions and leadership roles.

I have supported SME innovation through various positions. I served as the first Chair of the Innovation Supernetwork, supported by the North East LEP, where I championed innovative practices and fostered a community of entrepreneurs. Additionally, I was Chair of the fast-growing cycling holiday business, Saddle Skedaddle, guiding its expansion and success. Currently, I chair the board of the innovation agency, Edge, where I continue to support dynamic business growth.

During my tenure at North East Finance, I launched the Routes to Investment initiative, a range of SME support activities and services designed to facilitate investment and growth. My expertise spans diverse markets, including business-to-business, education, public sector, construction, and engineering, allowing me to provide tailored guidance.
​
With over 20 years of experience, I have been coaching, mentoring, and delivering workshops to business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs. My work has spanned various businesses and academic institutions across the North East, including Newcastle University and Sunderland College. Through these efforts, I have helped many individuals achieve their business goals, enabling a culture of innovation and resilience.

Additionally, I hold a coaching qualification endorsed by the Association for Coaching, further validating my commitment to providing high-quality coaching that meets professional standards. This qualification underscores my dedication to delivering significant value to those I work with.
